    Armin Stolzer, managing director of Kasto Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG expects further positive development in 2006 thanks to the current activity in inquiries and orders.
MM: What were your expectations for the EMO in Hanover, and what does the show mean for you company?
    Stolzer: Kasto has positive expectations for the EMO, which as the world leading show for tooling machines will surely once again present guiding trends for the future. The EMO has major importance for our cutting machines and the associated feeding and extraction units.

    MM: Which technical advancements and trends do you expect in the area of sawing at the show?
    Stolzer: For sawing, we expect increased performance in high-performance sawing with hard metals as well as handling solutions for automatic flexible loading and disposal and palletizing. In addition, we will present new universally employable longitudinal saws.

    MM: What kind of economic signals will the sector receive from this year EMO and what are the expectations for 2006 at Kasto?
    Stolzer: The EMO in Hanover will send positive signals to the sector, and especially for companies which show technical advances. Thanks to the current course of business and the inquiry and order activity, we expected further positive development and a moderate sales increase compared with the results of 2005.

    MM: What product highlights will Kasto present in Hanover?
Stolzer: The highlights of the EMO presentation is the flexible power circular saw machine Kasto-Variospeed C14 with the robotic palletizer Kasto-Sort. Further new products to be presented include the mitre-cut machine Kasto-Flex and the Kasto-Verticut vertical band saw for mitre cuts. rk
